**update at this moment we have a few new product sponsors and about half the number of pre registered needed but have had a lot of encourgement by the skate community to put the event on, did you pre pregister for this event yet? Think about it this way, as a race director the trophies or medals have to be bought ahead of time as well as any refreshments, how is the race director supposed to know how much to buy or prepare for if you the skaters, don't let the race director know till the morning of the race!

This will be a 8 lap race making it a 13.84 mile race.** update this course was re calibrated (we re -measured) course length is a mile 1.73 by 8 laps makes this race a 13.84 mile, the half marathon race proper length is 13.2 miles there is simply no way to make this course exactly 13.2 ( sorry!) Also the name of the event has been changed back to Parkinson's Open Road Race at EL Dorado Park was per the insurance company or "Parkinson's" as the locals call it! and next year the possible return of the Senior Olympics/renegade race Long Beach CA. ** also new for year 2009 we will have Saturday race numbers pick up at EL Dorado Park!! and pre reg for the race the next day so all of those skaters whom have pre reg will not have to wait in line in the early am but please be at the race location early for warm up etc. Please be at the race site by 6 am. Oct.4, 2009 Skaters the registration must be completed by 6:40 am we have to start the race by 7 am, with pre registration makes for a smoother run event, as well as a quicker day of reg. bib # distribution.
